Global citizenship

"Global citizenship is the umbrella term for social, political, environmental, and economic actions of globally minded individuals and communities on a worldwide scale."
(United Nations)

It is important that your child understands how they might take an active role in our community to make our planet more peaceful, sustainable and fair.

In school, this work is covered within the Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) curriculum, however elements of climate change flow through the whole curriculum, as does the United Nations Convention for the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)

Being a global citizen means taking an active interest in the world. The Sustainable Development Goals offer a chance for you and your child to discuss certain issues such as poverty, hunger, inequality, climate change and sustainable development.
